4age Alternator tensioner Sat, 11 December 2004 04:03 Go to next message
Alright, now that i have the quads in on the 100kw i am down to about 5mm of movement for the alternator along the tensioner bracket. Does anyone know of an alternator tensioner bracket which is longer than the stock one?

If i cant find a longer one my current idea is to chop the back out of this one to give it that little bit more adjustment, but thats dicey as.

Dont quite have a pic of the bracket, but ill try and get one.

sounds like time to get out the welder Razz

shouldn't be too hard to add some extra length to it, or u culd take it to an engineering/fabrication place and get it extended, shoudlnt cost that much

If i was to weld an extension to it i think it woudl break. Simply because of the length it runs. I think ill just dupe it on a cnc machine.
