ae86trueno, and the curse of the Oran Park Dirt Circuit Sun, 12 December 2004 09:38 Go to next message
Some people may remember a certain rollover some time back that led ae86trueno to change the front end of his rally car over to the levin fixed headlight style.. Well today at Oran Park, we found that history has a strange way of repeating itself, with the same thing happening on basically the same corner Sad

I don't think the bends in the cage are from the crash.. It looks (to me) like that's where the cage is tagged to the A-Pillars. Ben (ae86trueno) will be able to confirm that.

From where I was sitting I just saw the underneath of the car facing me for a second and then it was obscured by a dust cloud. Pretty sure it just went over once onto the roof, but then it slid down a hill upside down..

I was dumping photos onto my laptop when it happened so I didn't get any action shots. There were other people down at the corner though - I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if anyone posts a video link at all..

Technically, he only did it once - It was the co-driver that did it last time.

The Coupe will Be defineately be back,

I stripped it last night when i got home, the only things that arnt reparable are the Windscreen and bonet, but the cage is defineately in tact,

and gee thanks Siktoy ra23, but thats my first roll in 4 years of rallying, i dont regret it as i was pushing hard for a class win,

And for the record Coupes Rock !!!

Ben.
