Yeah Shiri Thanx for that i was the one that was asking about it...... They look pretty nice as like that with the tint.
Thanks for the complimens a few other things will be painted tommorrow, i'll probably do the mudflaps red, the panel under the rear bumper black (maybe red if i can find the exact paint.
MODS FOR THE FUTURE
Mods for the Future was to possibly invest in the 2.25" piping and then consider some cams but thats gonna be a later option for sure...

Thanx for all the nice comments....
Updates:
Theres a lot of updates due to the fact that i'm on holidays now.. lots of time to work on her...
We have sprayed under the doors, there is an area which is unpainted, that is now painted, and the rear bumper has areas of black which have been primed and painted now, pics will be up very soon....
My front engine mount is pretty stuffed so I have just bought a new one from toyota $106 Freaking dollars.... for ONE LITTLE MOUNT.... Its only $44 to install which ain't too bad..
Theres a really hard knocking when lifting the foot off the gas, and my racv check said it was the engine mount at the front that had started to crack, hopefully this will fix the problem..
Gearknob has been sprayed in a vinyl spray, the surround around the popup lights has also been fixed up.. All the pics will be up tonight...
By the way my cars got 286,600 kms and still going beautifully, not a hint of smoke and doesn't use any oil either...
Thats toyota for u!

Just put new spark plugs in
They were some from work... Got some Denso Platinum plugs, they were only $9.50 each from toyota where i work so i thought i might as well get it
The Cam Covers were painted with Silver, and same with head shield.....
The car is sooo much smoother with the new spark plugs, the car runs sooo smooth..... these spark plugs were quite old and i think they had cracked as well, there are a few hairline cracks on the white part i'll try post pics up...
Car revs better and less strugglin now...
I know its added power, but thats because the old plugs were very old and worn....
Did an oil change the other week and also changed the oil filter.. I'm using magnectec 10w-40 i believe, feels great...
Thoughts are surrounding the idea of getting some Crows cams at some stage.. I was originally going to put on some V6 Camry rims from a vzv21 camry but decided that i'll leave it for now as my tyres on the car are still pretty decent and i will need to have V spec tyres due to the cars speedo, wierd rule but yeah strange...
All cars should have V spec rated tyres, just coz a car has a 240km speed limit, not like i'm gonna do that speed...

Latest Installment comes from the 2.25" piping from the Cat-back and a resonator.. Boy does she go nicely... Mid and Top end are beautiful now, still reckon extractors will help the unwilling areas of higher rpm but it just really pulls after TVIS...
Considering a cam regrind at some stage..
Any suggestions on the topic?

Got these rims off a toyota celica that was sellin on toymods not long ago..
I love em, i swapped my standard rims and tyres for these with tyres.... Had to drive about 150kms to ballarat for em though ahahhaa.. on 35 degree day...
Was worth it though
Anyone heard of the brand? i love the look of them and they are very decent..
Tyres are 205/50/15.....
They are great. These pictures are with the car very dirty, needs a polish and yeah the rims are yet to be cleaned as well. that will be done tommorrow!!!
They look great though..
Pics are at the very top of the screen!!!!

Bit of Work planned...
I'm not too happy with the work that i need to get the car going as it should!
Just got a bit too much to do and yeah i've just started working some better hours so i'll be able to fix her up..
Fix Oil leak
Looks like its coming from the drivers side, i thought it would be the cam cover seal but i've changed it, i can't follow it back too easily..
Replace CV Boot on Drivers Side
I've got this clicking sound whenever i accelerate and it does it a bit when i change gears now, i'm guessing its just the boot because i think its leaking.
Install Amp
I sold my amp to afford a few other important things and as a result i have been without stereo for about a month now... Oh well..
Install Extractors
Hoping to install the extractors, a EGR pipe will have to be modified on and the piping will need to be welded up at the 2-1 spot to my piping...
Install Weather Shield around windscreen
The drivers side hasn't got a weather shield around the windscreen at the moment, it looks a bit raggy at the moment so i'll have to get onto that.
Install a new Alarm System
The one I have now is old and needs to be fixed or else just buy a new one...
Not TOOOO much to be done....

the oil leak will most likely be from the oil pump which is driven off the timing belt. check it out as well as the cam and crank case seals... be sure to replace the timing belt too if there is any sign of oil on it...
BTW, where did you get those rims and how much did they cost. they look really nice!!!!

Just put the car on the dyno Today,
Put out 86.6kw at the wheels..
Pretty happy considering all thats done is 2.25" exhaust to a stock celica sx
I find out that the dizzy timing was on 6 degrees so it wasn't exactly running the best...
Got extractors coming on soon and i've boosted up the timing to 14 degrees.. goes even better with the timing up..
can't wait for extractors!!!

Hey man,
Definitely bidged the terminals when we did it.. so i'm really not sure what it could be.... I did change the spark plugs in between, the timing was 10 degrees before spark plug change.. then it went to 6.. weird as...
But yeah i've upped it to 14 and its goin very nicely....
Just need to fix the engine mount, it moves back and forth heaps when i start so the back must be pretty bad...

Adrain, when the engine had a slight rebuild/refresh did they take the head off?If they did it was probably skimmed which would up the compression and it could have had some valves,springs etc changed too.That could account for the high power reading i guess, either way its bloody great and just shows what a nice running and clean engine can do - imagine a rebuild!
oh, and that sub that i have is just siting here so if u want it just let me know, im not gonna get rid of it in a hurry i dont think.

Yeah they took the head off so yeah i'd say the compression may have gone up a bit. quite a bit of work was done to it.
This was the main things that were done during the refresh/rebuild
* Rebuilt right-hand driveshaft
* New distributor cap
* New distributor contact spindle
* New distributor cables
* New clutch
* New piston rings
* New cam shims
* New timing belt
* New valve stem seals
* Valve & Valve seat re-grind
* Nengine head acid bath cleaned
* New seals, new gaskets all round
Could this be it?
I calculated roughly what it might be at the engine, i'm lookin at about 108-110kw at the engine, which ain't bad over the stock 103kw when the motors are BRAND new... let alone 292,000kms, i know its had a rebuild etc but yeah its quite good overal for its kms...
Its sooo funny because its like my car comes to life like one of those machines at the hospitals that read the heart beat.. at 5400 the a/f ratio starts to beat hahaha...
i was possibly thinkin it could have been the timin on 6 degrees when it should have been 10 at least that caused this.. or a faulty o2 sensor...
ST162GT-R
Yeah essentially stock except 2.25" exhaust, not sure of any hidden internals, hopefully there is hahahaa..
Just dying to see what it will get with the extractors...
I got a quote for $100 to fit the extractors, thats including weldin to the original flex pipe, making a spot for o2 sensor and a egr spot will be made up!!!
Thanx for ur comments everyone!!!

I'd hope to finish the exhaust by next week on Wednesday...
I'd love to go take it out on the dyno again..
Even once i fixed the timing i'd love to see if it helped..
I should really get the oil leak fixed but yeah i've got enough oil, i'll just keep topping up.. stupid power steering pump!!! GRRRR!!!

Hmmm never really did any..
I did one on a gtech pro and i got 8.7 seconds but yeah i'm sure i could do better with the exhaust now and i don't really like the gtechs sometimes... they don't pickup when u hit 100kms always...
but yeah i'm on about 144hp at the engine and would LOVE to bring it up to about 160hp, with that i'd need the extractors aftermarket cams and probably a piggyback ecu..
I'm more after the enjoyment of the car, its hella fun to drive, it was hella fun to drive stock as well!!!
