C is tuff. Tuff is what a v8 Cressida is. I would go for C way before the others. ( C > A > B > D )

That may be the case, but NOBODY makes mags in a 4x114.3 and +20 offset.
And if they do, they look shithouse.
BSA is the first manufacturer I know of to make such combinations.
And no, $2400 on Simmons is not an option (plus tyres)

Buddy Clubs aren't an option cos the 17x7 only comes in +25 offset (nothing lower, only higher), which won't work legally on the rear.
And those 2nd mags you posted are ewww.

I voted C as well
I think old school cars, need old school mags. There are the rare exceptions where chromes can look good on a classic, but it's rare.
I picked these puppies up for $850 off of ebay, in pretty good nick with 3 good tyres, a new tyre and a bit of a spit and a polish and they came up brill!
My second hand car doesn't need first hand mags

Buddy Club 16x7.5s come in +12 or +22mm . . . .
Before you can say it - I agree that 17" is WHERE IT'S AT ! !
You would perhaps like this:
Nevermind that they're virtually impossible to get in Australia, they range from +35 to +45 offset, which is easily enough room for a proper bolt-on convertor ring, with its own shoulder.
-food for thought?
eh?
Perhaps in Silver:
Maybe Super-Touring is more your bag:

Spacers are illegal in WA.
The offset HAS to be +20 to +16. So that rules out 90% of rims.
Buddy clubs +22's will be illegal on the rear, and +12's will illegal on the front.
Hence I can't get Buddy clubs.

Get a set with mixed offsets. Plenty of people HAVE to do it. I think it only costs another $40 or something for the set.
That's an option anyway. Can you get hub converters engineered in WA? I'm not talking about the flat rings that people just jam behind the wheel: I'm talkin bolt-on hub adaptors with THEIR OWN studs and central shoulder to seat the wheel on (as god intended). As long as it's all centred and solid, and the front & rear track hasn't been altered beyond the legal limits, where's the problem?
I must admit though, I'm not a big fan of such elaborate work-arounds. Much easier to just stick a wheel straight on the hub eh?
Just do yahoo and google searches with this: ["4x114.3" 17x7 +16]
or +20 or +18 etc. etc. until you strike it RICH! ! !
The Tyre rack has a "view on your car" applet.

Hub convertors are illegal, the only way to do it would be to convert the actual hub to 5 stud (ie, use the hub off a different car, like a crown).
I have inquired about this many times (and spacers) using all forms of physics as reasoning, but bottom line is they won't allow it, full stop.
Only some manufacturers will do special offsets.
And surprise surprise, tirerack.com doesn't list the 86 Cressida

Must admit. I don't like that car either. Would look great with gunmetal or a dark mag. White would also look good on that car. With the brakes painted electric blue.
On the celica the gunmetal look nice.
I also believe in tints before mags.
