Yeah looked like a great turnout , was there about 5mins sorry i couldn't stay the following had to be carried out .
1. Fix Arch's ae86 which had the front wheel bearings melt into the stub axle , requiring car park angle grinding in that bloody hot weather today . As well as lots of hammering and getting covered in grease . Not the end of that , he will require a new stub , requiring refitting back to stocko suspension to return to sa .Thanks to the people at F1 for lending the power and Steve for carrying the tools in the ute .
2. Simons unfinished car , bonnet not painted , cage not bolted in { also no bolts } Holes for cage not drilled . Then once picking up the bolts on the way to the track , guess what ! car doesn't start followed by not running . Easy fix and he was out there showing great form .
3. Wings ae86 near death on track accident . Since there was a HUGE lack of flag marshals doing there job , not chatting to each other . Guess what happened the s12 lost control ran wide smashiing the front of wings car while LUCKLY he was on the other side of the car .Well this required more work but he will be out there tomorrow , second ae86 in a month thats totaled for that guy . Wasn't the s12 drivers fault really , just no one was marshaling so how could he tell there was a car half off the track . Piss poor job of organization felt by all that witnessed it happen .

So much for my "BRIMBANK BBQ RESULTS" post in the victorian section... hehehee
so i'll paste my stuff over here
Well Personally I think it was an absolute blast, never have I seen sooo many beautiful Ae86's. I just thought i'd really congratulate everyone for their effort making it to this event, especially for you interstate people. The success rate was excellent....
I wish i had a ae86, well i suppose the Red st162 is sorta on the same lines, liftback/2 door/ engine at front of car....
Well ok not exactly...
Post up those pics ppl..
If u have trouble finding net space use www.imageshack.us
maybe even try use the thumbnail feature as not to make it too unfriendly for dialup users....
Just thought i'd mention too, thanx everyone on toymods for bein open for a chat, ur all very nice indeed

Wanted to come down to banzai battle in the AE86, but due to battery issues and my rollcage being half installed (ie dash was out because its got a bar that goes behind the dash), drove the R32 Skyline instead... saw most of you guys parked on the front lawn, and looked around for Garth, but he was nowhere to be found, so I went back to cheering on one of the cars we imported and sponsored, the ex-Kenworks D1 ceffy, driven by the NZ drift champ

Since most of the regular 86 posters are sleeping right now, with a long trip back home i must say from what i saw it was a great success.
It was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to put faces on names.
The turnout was terrific, with some disappointing numbers of 86's from Melbourne but it was still awesome.
I can't say much as i missed some of it driving back from Canberra but from what i personally experienced; these are the nicest group of car enthusiasts one could hope for. Everyone's so unique and funny and it was a blast the whole time.
Special thanks to Chad (the man) for organising such a successful welcoming premeet (which i sadly missed but gathering from the photos it was sweet, i'm sure those there could vouch the same.)
Adam for being as helpful as ever so i heard, the ae86 community is priviledged to have someone has helpful and reliable as this tech guru who proudly claims the infamous stock 4a-c sprinter.
Ronald, for listening to chooney and myself over the CB radio during the show and shine lap cruise and ripped a burnout... then getting told off. Priceless.
Sab, for being the hardest arsed 16yo enthusiast.
Huy and Jay, for putting up with me.
and finally Garth and Des, you boys ROCK! Fucken awesome weekend.
-Jay
