im putting a 1g into my ra28 and as read the engine mounts need to be moved to the front set of holes but only 2 holes on one side of the bracket match up on both mounts. iv tried bending them out to fit but its pretty impossible.
have people come accross this problem before?
what to do?

This is just a guess, but mid mount mounts wont bolt into the front mount holes.
You will have to source a set of front mount mounts, from a GA61, or GX61, GX71, GX81 or GZ10. I'm not sure what else uses front mounts.

Bush mechanic method-cut a chunk out of neighbours bbq plate [steel] and with the aid of a paper template rubbed over the block's mounting holes with greasy fingers [to accurately mark hole positions] drill the holes and bolt the plate to block.
Put engine [block] in desired position.put desired mounts in their spot and mark the bbq plate where you require bolts to magically appear.unbolt the bbq, drill holes and weld bolts in.finito.drink more beer.Merry Xmas.Pete.
