if we do a pre xmas one , it will have to be this sunday,

so lets an idea of numbers and a start point worked out.

lunch can be a bbq in lorne or a visit to the pub, depending on peopels preferences.

plan attempt 1:

10.00am - 1st meeting spot in melbourne,
11:00 -11:30 - meet geelong residents at the Corio Mcdonalds (pick up nota stop)

1.30- arrive in lorne, food time, meet and greet, photos, footy etc

leave 3ish - new route home through otways and nice windy 100km/h roads,

i can arrange maps and post em on net, donations might be easier than flogging off stickers,

see if we can get other fuirends as long as well perhaps to get more money for the salvos

unless any one works for autobahn or auto shops to get stickers /sponserhip and flyers up.

a few clubs have got one going so lets make it big:

Great Ocean Road cruise to the 12 Apostles...

Date: Sunday 19th December
Time: 8.30am meet for 9am departure
Where: Car park opposite Bob Jane Stadium, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park
Melways: 57 H3

Basically, this is going to be a bit of an informal cruise, as it is quite close to Xmas, and the week after Heathcote.

We will depart Albert Park for Geelong, where we'll stop for about 15 - 20 minutes or so to regroup, and pick up an Geelong cruisers.

Geelong Meet Point

Bunnings Corio
Cnr School Rd & Geelong Rd, Corio
9.45am for 10am departure
Melways: 432 F6

We'll head off from Geelong to Lorne, where we will stop for 30 minutes or so for a quick break, then depart for Apollo Bay. Lunch in Apollo Bay will be 'help yourself' format, ie nothing provided.

We will then depart Apollo Bay for the 12 Apostles, with some spectacular scenery along the way. A few short stops for photos and sightseeing, then we will depart back to Geelong. Another quick stop in Lorne for fuel, toilet etc.

We are aiming to be back into Geelong around 7.30pm for dinner... Smorgies on Cunningham Pier has been set as the informal location, but feel free to choose your own meals at any other places.

(thanks to ccc and other associated clubs)

Definitely sounds like January's the goer. Dodging Summernats and the Toymods Dyno day is the only thing.
