Hey guys i have a ke70 with a 4AGZE conversion done and was wondering what gearbox would be a good replacment, only using standard ke70 box at the moment and starting to play up, also what would be a good option for a diff, already had to replace once so want a stronger one and a LSD as well possibly disks as well. And last what is a good all round brake upgrade? Thank you.

for starters to set things straight, the gearbox that you are using is a T50 from the sprinter and AE71 corolla. In terms of what you can do as a replacement it might be a better idea to get it professionally rebuilt by a trans specialist, new parts are always better than opting for a 2nd hand cheapy gearbox.
Alternatively if you can be bothered modding, you could go a 1G 6speed gearbox but the gear lever will be much further back but this would be harder to kill.
Diff selection is easy. Use a diff from the T18. TRD make LSD centres for these diff. I don't know how much an LSD centre will cost. The down side is that the T18 diff is drum brake.
Hope that can give ideas to ponder about
Dale.

6 spd from 1g??? wtf?
isnt the t series the oz spec 4ac sprinter diff? the same as the jdm ae85? if so TRD no longer do a lsd for them.
hilux diff could be an option. or te71 if u can get one there
a t50 is not a good idea on a 4agze. a w5# would be a better option. but ull need a custom bellhousing to fit it

Just to fix up what people are saying, the gearbox he would be currently using is a K50! This gearbox can handle any of the K series engines and, although being a direct bolt on for an A series engines, can handle a 4ac, but the maximum would be an 88kw 4age and that would be pushing it a hell of a lot, a 4agze is complete overkill for this box and I'm surprised the thing hasn't already completely carked it...
I would recommend getting yourself a T50, although what people have said, this is a very good gearbox and can handle a hell of alot more than the K50 can.
You can get yourself a T50 from an AE71 or basically any sprinter, but they are becoming more and more rare, if you cant find one from wreckers, you may be able to find one on the forums anywhere between $150 and $300.

haha ok i keep mixing up t and s a nd g etc etc cause toyota dont use those codes as a reference at all, at least not on the epc or anyhwere else iv found other than than the build plate!
if your gunna give it heaps, then a t50 prob wont last all that long, they are a lot stronger than the k50 but in the long run the w5# conversion will prob work out cheaper, you wont kill it with a 4agze, but you will kill a t50 if driven hard.
TRD still do LSD to suit the ae86 axle, bout $1-1200nz for one

Easy - W box, F or G diff. Not hard to convert, and well worth the effort.

I think you have your K50's very confused. No way you can attach a KE70 gearbox to an A series motor. K50's have an integral bellhousing, there is however an A series version of the K50 which came in JDM AE85's with the 3A motor (along with a couple of other different models in Japan). If a 4A-GZE is in there then it will have a T50 behind it which is a bolt in for the KE70 chassis.

amen to that..
k50 will not handle all K series motors.. well maybe stock ones
better to use a T50 with the K series motors if you have doubts..
(and before anyone says.. there are _two_ bellhousings for this)
some people DO use T50's with GZE's.. it all depends on how much of a dickhead you are
if you do burnouts and dump clutch all the time of course the poor thing will break.. that same will happen to a W box..
if you drive 'properly' with 'respect for your drivetrain', you would be surprised how much each box can handle.
