Its an EL53 Corolla 2. Its based upon the Starlet chassis and its a worldwide model. It has other names, Corsa and Tercel, which both sold in the US and Japan.

They either come with a 3E-FE (1300cc) or a 5E-FE (1500cc), 65hp and 88hp respectively.

Theres also a 4WD verson and it also came in a Sedan. Oh and the US never got the latest model hatch back, but a 2dr coupe based up on the 4dr sedan.

Any other questions?

PS: It looks like a facelift one as I have never seen that grill before.

Thanks man! It came out with that grill! In fact there's a sticker at the back saying Windy (that's some sort of kit style) & the grill's one of the mods!
3E-FE & 5E-FE are both Petrol Engines no? Cause mine came out with a Diesel Engine 1.5TD.
Think it was a swop or something!?

Those are petrol engines, I am not sure of the Diesel ones.

Windy is the model yes, You can also get a Super Windy and a crap load of other models. Ive got a Tercel VX with 5EFE 5spd, soon to be 4EFTE turbo.

Yes the grill did come with your car, What im saying is that its different from any model ive seen before. It maybe specail to your country or it may be a facelift model, as the other Corolla 2 Windy's ive seen were different. (Same as my grill)

Every where but Aussie Laughing Its the same chassis and interior as a Peaso/Cynos/Sera, so you guys kinda got them. Theres been three main generations dating back to the early 80ties.

They also share alot of parts with the Starlet, which makes the 4EFTE a direct swap.

yeah a 4EFTE swops directly into my engine bay! just fit it in...not extra bolting & stuff!
Anyway. Good choice if you're swopping to the 4EFTE...especially if you get a 5E block which would provide better performance for the little 1300cc engine!
however I'm still looking for some specs about my car!!
if anyone could be so kind to provide me with the info!!
btw: thanks Daemon for the info!

What do you want to know?

I dont think the 4EFTE will bolt directly into your car as you have a desial motor. But the swap will be pretty easy, All you will require is the different engine mounts and maybe a new loom and ECU. I am not sure about this, they might be the same engine mounts they might not be, You will have to research about your motor and talk to a mechanic.

The 5EFE is a very weak motor, I have no seen a proper Turbo 5EFTE and the ones I have seen have blown up.

look for the code on your engine and search the net for that.

Or even post the engine code, someone on here is bound to know something Smile

Well I can tell you now it wont be much.

Go get the engine number off your car and do some research on it. It should be on the top middle of the firewall. Should be a heap of numbers following it stamped into the metal.
