autospeed is ghey - Julian Edgar is a dong.
Yes these Kits are Jaycar EXCLUSIVES, meaning you can only buy them through Jaycar and its parent/subsiduaries.
The book itself is called "High Performance Electronic Projects for Cars" - jaycar cat no. BS5080.
THere are some VERY nifty kits in there for a DIY toymodder, my favourites are:
# Idenpendant Electronic boost controller KC5387
# hand controller to suit above KC5386
# Intelligent Turbo timer (reads engine load and automatically adjusts cool down time) KC5383
# Digital Fuel Adjuster. Good for small tuning. KC5385
# Duty Cylce meter display KC5375
# Digital Speedo corrector KC5382
As an aside, i know a fair bit about these little kits, having built all of the prototypes, and am about to test pilot a few too.
Perhaps in the not too distant future i will make them available through www.witzl.com as complete built and tested units (especially the boost controller, complete with solenoid!), or just as the kits at a special discount rate to the Toymodders

Well i had a read this morning.
The artices in it seem well written and do cover a lot of newer engine control technology.
The only problem is it doesnt go very in depth into the specifics of each type of control system.
The kits look good, they are all quite universal, so will work on most EFI cars.
A lot are simple, a few like the hand control unit and the kits it works with get a little more complex.
If you the basics on electronics and want to know more about engine control systems, do buy this mag.
