dont feel the power

ive got a JZZ30 soarer with a huge single turbo, front mount, turbosmart external waste gate, halteck computer, im punching about 240-245rwkw on 13psi
all my mates say my cars a bullet compared to theirs they all own R33s R32 GTR and big HSVs and i pull away from them by heaps ..but the thing is i dont feel the big power is it because im in a luxury car ????
ran a 12.6 quater now thats a quick street car
whats going on

You don't feel the power cos its your car, you drive it regulalrly and to you it just feels normal, them stepping out of lesser powered cars into yours makes them feel it more.

also for me sitting in passenger seat is a lot more scary than driving.
BTW your setup sounds pretty good. A lot of single turbo soarers struggle with either too much lag or traction problems.

nah its not that my 7M - GE AUTO supra threw me back in my seat more than this soarer

Having a luxury aimed car, your seats are softer, the ride is softer, etc etc.
Basically you don't feel the car accelerate.
I get the same in my Cressida.
I take people for a quick spin, and they don't really feel anything, then I get them to watch the speedo when I next take off and their jaws drop.
The needle climbs much much quicker than it feels like it should be.

The relatively massive weight of the soarer also helps to dampen out road feel and the like.
Thats still a damn fast car
