Ta22 Brake upgrade!! Thu, 06 January 2005 22:15 Go to next message
Ok the 73's brakes are fukked, the master cylindar seems all rusted as is everything that hangs off it,I have a 76 that seems to be fine...has anyone swapped these over before or could suggest maybe something better?? Its only the missus 2t so she doesn't need and HSV master cylinder or anything..It does look pretty straight forward as in the linkages seem to meet at some similar points in the engine bay but any advice will be greatly appreciated..

Nath,
MC's on TA22's and RA23/28 and beyond have been well covered on this forum, I will be one of the first to say SEARCH.....
Rebuild/rekit the TA22 MC is the easiest fix.
TA22 M/C's are two bolt, not compatible with the RA23 and later four bolt M/C's, so you can't swap them over.
To upgrade the 11/16 2 bolt TA22 MC buy a 13/16 T18 MC from PBR and bolt that on.
I have said too much aleady.
Mitch.
