Hey guys, just a quick question,
I am 99% sure that the supercharger from both the AFM gze and MAP gze are exacly the same, just wanna be 100% sure b4 i buy one and try and put it on. So if u have seen both, are the exaclty the same or not? thanks, Chris.

physically the same SC12, but the map version has a slightly smaller clutch set-up on it and different outlet pipe from the s/c, i think the inlet pipe is the same on both though.

aint the clutch setup different also ?

i heard the map was electromagnetic.
where was the afm wasnt ?

Both electromagnetic Rex thinks, later just uses smaller pulley for few psi more boost

thanks for ur help guys, but i think a $200 replacement is more in my budget range than a $2000 conversion to turbo, + the tune after that another $500.

When you get one check it for play in the bearings, both thrust and rotational. Also check for excessive noise from the bearings and inspect the rotors for scuffing (you will be able to see them if you remove the inlet and outlet pipes (6 bolts each i think)).

Get the smaller pulley one unless you are running a big crank pulley in which case the extra wear induced by both will not be worth it.

You should also change the oil in the SC before you install it as the old oil prolly has 150,000ks on it and its a real bitch to change once its on the car.

As far as I know the oil is really expensive from toyota but holden has a supercharger oil that wont break the bank...
