first of all, good luck. next of all, the smallport 4AGE was only available in FWD, but from what i have heard you can use the FWD loom in an AE86, its jut a bit of a tight fit, i know for a fact that the RWD wire bundle that connects the loom to the ECU is a good one or two feet longer than the smallport.
