GE vs ZE heads
|

Sorry if this has been done before, I couldn't find any reference to it though.
Are smallport 4AGE heads the same as the smallport 4AGZE heads? And bigport?
I know cams are different, but I was more thinking of ports, valves and combustion chambers, etc...
Thanks
Hen

they are both right......
ALL 42mm crank 4age/4agzes had the same cams, that goes for aw11 4agze. late aw11 4age, ae92tvis, non tvis, ze map, ze afm and ae101 ze.
the 40mmcranks type, ae82 early aw11 had different cams
lets make this simple......
all parts that are differnt on the 4agze compared to the 4age:
pistons.
rings
camcovers
thats it. blocks, cranks, rods, heads, cams are all THE SAME

What about the oil squirters on the AE92 and AE101 ZE's? Did the equivalent GE's also have these?

basiclly the 4agze is the same as the same year 4age.
thats a bit more accurate

i have heard that the heads are different, but to know for sure you would have to look at them side by side.

Nope, heads are exactly the same. I have two GZE heads, and three GE heads. Which is which i cannot tell (except the one which is on the GZE came on the GZE)
