alternator upgrade- car not starting

i have upgraded my alternator in my ke70 to internal reg and have read the forums as to the correct wiring. but the car wont start now - it cranks only. is it likely to be incorrect wiring of the alternator or can i rule that one out.

something else entirely.
unless your battery is kapoot (unlikely if its cranking), it is ignition. check leads, spark plugs timing etc
