Honda Perlude 88 model Vs Corolla 100kw 88 model

Hey guys... My 2 mates raced there cars.. I was in the perlude.. They both on the lights.. Take off 1st 2nd gear they where head to head... From 3rd the perlude started streching and won by a car lenght.. I was suprised.. A honda perlude won a 100kw twincam  My mate with the tyota said His car was out of timing... Maybe it was..

I think you mean PRELUDE not pERlude.
Stretching and length.
Were not Where.
Dude, it's annoying to read stuff like that. Doesn't take much effort to use half-decent sentences and check your spelling and grammar..

Nah okok honest opnion!!
THe Honda's VTEC is not to be underestimated thats first!!... the prelude has got 106KW, but whats the weight again? 1200kg?
anyways, Toyota's T-VIS on the 3SGE's are also a good thing... (Apart from MINE ... damm GenII Engine with GenI Manifold... u know how restrictive it is?)... the 3SGE's do have 103kw.... and they are something like 1100kg or something... .dirt light....
so beating a Prelude is very very possible i believe... with the right driver, shifting at the right time.... i really cant see how a ST162 can loose to a Prelude
Then again, u get ppl like ME.... who just LOVES to loose to Ricer Lancers....

Don't think vtec was released in Hondas till 1992 or something. The Honda is 1110 kg so that's a power to weight ratio of 10.47.

it'll be a very very close match!!
hmm i think it depends on how much the driver's weight too........ seee Rabsy over there? He weighs less than 30KG.... so thats upper hand for him
The Reason i lost to those lancers is prolly cause i weight 20kg more than what i should so if my cars say 1100KG, make that 1200kg ROFL
nah, i just cant drive... nothing to do with how fat i'm

honda has had vtec for years but they only had it in their motor bikes to start with
i think the first vtec powered cars were about the year 1988 when they brought out the gen 2 style (wedge) shaped crx the trim level or SIR or wotever had them 1.6twincam 16v 118kws little screamers they were they still haul arse of most 4cyl cars today for half their price (u can get one imported from japan for about 9000 bucks cos there where not sold here)

The 1.6 l with 118kw was available in the Civic VTIR later on and also in the later targa top CRX's.
