Need rust fixed and acrylic paint job. Where to go in Brisbane? Sat, 15 January 2005 05:56 Go to next message
Hey,

Looking for a shop around the Brisbane area.
Need to get rust cut out from my TA22, plates welded over, and the car painted in acrylic.

Anyone know of any cheaper places that do a decent job?

Why acrylic if you're getting it professionally done?

Acrylic black or perhaps some sort of blue

Sorry, no. I meant if you are getting it done professionally why are you opting for acrylic over 2pac?
I was just wondering out of interest!

hmmm a pro job in acrylic? id be going 2pac, acrylic
is cheaper for a home job - no license, spraybooth,
masks, baking oven etc... but if ur getting it done
pro it seems that its almost always 2pac over acrylic,
i reckon 2pac is heaps better paint.

id check it out with someone who knows a lot about
paints and spraying and see what they say

Acrylic is shit for cars, paint will 100% start to crack and fade after 2yrs, 2-pak is a softer paint, has alot more flex/give.

True that acrylic is much cheaper then 2-pak but its harder to get a quality finish.

Having said that, i only paid $350 for 4ltrs of 2-pack primer and High Osicity(i think thats its name) white and tint.

Cheap i know but it isnt really expensive at normal price.

Cheers

Steve
