Well if you get stuck i can organize the same place as this day
Only problem is people will have to come over to the eastern suburbs , might i also suggest that lots of people are still away mid jan as well .

http://www.pbase.com/sprintercity/dyno_day_

I think we got 27ish cars done in 4-5 hours , rear wheel drives , front wheel drives and two four wheel drives . Dyno is adjustable from f350 wheel base to suzuki swift four wheel drive . It making for a quick change between all cars , i think its rated at 1500kw or 1500nm cannot remember and is tested weekly since its a test station for a leading aftermarket ecu company .Also apart from power runs , we did air fuel ratios , and speedo check at 60 80 100 , on a print out graph .

Will be back with a non worn turbo by then , last run it couldn't keep 1.0bar droping to 0.7 , now making 0.0 Sad well that what you get for running a unit designed for 0.5 at 1.0 for 20.000ks .Will hopefully see 220rwkw next time if the turbo gets here before Friday .

bah definetly can't afford it now. Got clocked at 56 in a 50 zone. 1 point and 128$ fine for driving safely and avoiding wanker drivers!

Re: local dyno day Sat, 15 January 2005 07:06 Go to previous messageGo to next message
well..how many people are keen?
I think we needed something like 20-25 people like the last one at Teknik Tuning in Thornbury.
As Improved said, Jan is prob not the best time as some ppl might still be away.
I can help organise the day but are they enough interest to do so?? Is there someone who can start the list and follow up on collecting deposits etc??
The last one at TT was very successful. Thanks to a few toymodders/trd-speckers for helping Smile

So someone pick a date, and someone start a list, we can see how we go.

PS. I 've been busy with work, so not on forums as often, feel free to PM me.

I am also thinking of organising a skin pan day..so someone can put that down in our Vic event calendar and start a list of ppl who are interested.

Re: local dyno day Sat, 15 January 2005 08:06 Go to previous messageGo to next message
Well someone please up-date the event section for this year .

I can organize the dyno any day in the next two months with a week notice . 4WD , RWD , FWD . Is Saturday still the best day for these events . Also might be a good idea to organize it so people which have to leave for work early etc go on first .

Also don't really need more than 25 car's but that figure makes for a good day , its also interesting to have other vehicles there other than Toyota's as well for a comparison . Also so people can bring friend who might be interested in moving over to Toyota's after the event .

But i really think we need to start planning what is happening this year so to involve more people .

As far as it looks theres not much interest mostly i would have to say that lots of people which i know are still away , or just got back to work and are catching up big time .

Lets set a day.

1) feb 18th?
2) feb 25th?

last time it was on a saturday. I think saturday should be alright with most people. There is almost 1 months advance. So should be no excuse. Lets try to get at least 25-30 cars down.

If we can get the date sorted. We can start with the deposits and hands up. LETS DO ITT!!!

Feb 26th it is. Book it in Improved.
EDIT - Correct date

Every dyno day I have heard of has booked out with a big waiting list, so I feel numbers wont be a problem at all. If it's $30 I reckon I could drag along half a dozen friends to boost numbers if I hassled hard enough.

Cmon... Do it... Do it.

Hen

PS, I'm in, and willing to help out on the barby, with paperwork or test driving other people's high performance cars.

I'm down for the 25th. well either is good but the 25th would be the best for me.

I can also drag a few TCCA people along for a few different cars. race cars too.
