T18 diff AE86 (Tail shaft? Sway bar mounts?) Fri, 21 January 2005 13:41 Go to next message
Hey guys just finished putting together my car t18 diff into ae86. I ve got two questions the first being am i supposed to use the T18 tail shaft? i am using it just dont no if its right It looks identical to the one i had in there is it the same what do you guys use? Also the t18 diff has no brackets for my sway bar so i had to take it of. I heard its not good to weld brackets to diffs so is there a way around this or do i just not use it.. Thanks 4 any help

unbolt the rear half of the tailshaft on the t-18...
unbolt the front half of the tailshaft on the sprinter...
bolt two together
insert
done

t-18 tailshaft is shorter... there is a remote chance it could come lose while driving but unlikely chance

i welded my brackets to the diff... has been fine so far... better than having no swaybar at aall
