2jz in an AE85? Sat, 22 January 2005 07:41 Go to next message
ripped from club4ag

C&Y Sports are known in Japan for wild swaps in RWD toyota's and nissans. They hold the record for fastest street ae86 (10.27), fastest allmotor 3sge ae86 (mid 10's), fastest street 4 cylinder 3sgte ae86 (high 9's), numorous 9 second skylines, numorous 9 second toyota's. WHY? look at the pictures and you tell me why?

this is the low 10 sec ae86

Nooo! Do it NAAAOOOWWW!!!

I always wanted to get an old Skyline GTR (not a PGC10 - couldn't cut one of those babies up) like the one in the pic above and put an N/A 2J in it. In fact, that's gonna be my next project dammit!

I said NOT a PGC10..... I couldn't bring myself to lay a finger on one. That and the fact that you could not get one for a reasonable price in this lifetime.

I meant one like in the pics. Can't remember the model destination.

And I'm with Norbie - That shit makes baby Jesus cry.

the 2jz corolla has 1100ps and runs a four link rear end and mini tubs. He has to do alot of work just to keep it straight in the hpi video.

I think it looks good.
Looks almost factory but a bit polished up int he bay,
its an improvement over the original car making a classic car better.

Sweet mother of fucking god!!!!! Shocked Mad Shocked Mad Shocked

Who the fuck did that? So you can't get cam bearings - just get some made - if you can afford a 2000GT you can afford to get cam bearings made!!!!!

It might only just be tolerable with some ITBs.

they obviously get the results they need to with a piggybacked ecu. No need to tune for cold start and air con and all that shit.

the driver sits and the start line with the handbrake firmly in place as he revs the JZ to about 4000rpm and the car lifts up and twists like a loaded mouse trap... he drops the handbrake... the car pulls sideways while the left hand tyre goes about 20cm up into the air.... the car gains traction and its off... 2nd gear and the 200SX its racing is allready gone... third gear and the car keeps lifting up and it pulls a little sideways... from the inside view the car looks as though its powered by rockets... change to fourth, the drivers head flies foward and back again as the driving force stops and begins... the car seems to be floating... fifth gear, cross the line, pull the shute and its over... awesome

In a kit car - id have one - 2 infact - gimme a convertable as well - but not a true classic .. that shits just wrong ( even if the conversion looks clean as a whistle ! )

NO!

There are gazillions of workshops doing drift cars in Japan. This is one that concentrates on drag racing which is awesome IMO!
