Can anyone give me a rough cost on what it would cost to put a 4AGE or 4AGZE engine in an AE86?
Cheers

It normally works out like this: come up with a reasonable estimate, then double it.
It always comes down to the number of shortcuts you want to take, could be anything from 2grand to 10 grand. GZE would obviously cost significantly more than just a GE.
Budget at least 4G for the GE and 6 for the GZE, but it could easily cost more or less, usually more though.

Yeah it should be, but I guess the main factor it comes down to is frontcut availability & condition. Do you get a better clutch, what fuel system methods you use (surge tank or not), how many seals & belts & bits & pieces on the engine you wanna replace, exhaust system.
Like I said, it depends how many corners you want to cut.

a few other factors that come into it are how good your frontcut is and what needs to be changed in it. Also, if you do some of the work yourself (eg take out the 4ac, do wiring yourself etc), that'll save you significant amounts of money
