Option 1: either keep the AE93 and mod it up, option 2: get an AE86 and mod it option 3: SW20 turbo

AE93: Practical, but FWD and not as easy to work on as a FR car and wont handle as well (although Honda boys will argue that one).
AE86: Still very practical, but expensive to buy and modify. I would say not worth the price myself, but other people think it is, so up to you. Although to get them over JDM (and thats what I would advise you get) costs $7500 plus. For $10,000 you can get yourself an S13 that will start off a lot quicker, but it's not a Toyota. Will handle better than an AE93 and be a touch quicker.
SW20: Awsome car, fast and handles awsomely. But not practical at all. No boot space, and only 2 seats.

I will retaliate the no boot space, there is actually a boot, which has space in it
Shraka's right, it isn't the biggest boot, but I've fitted 2 bags, 2 sleeping bags, 2 inflatable beds, 2 pillows, food and enough gear to go away for 4 nights in the boot of my SW20, plus there is room behind the seats(even with the roof off(unless you are tall and seats are all the way back). There is also a tiny of room in front.
2 seats is it's biggest disadvantage, or advantage, it depends on what you want, and how you look at it. It's like driving a fast train on rails, that's stable, predictable and a lot of fun!

If you decide to get an AE86:
Just buy an already imported JDM AE86. Save the hassle and expense of doing up an ADM AE86.
But remember, you have to really love an AE86 to bother or it will give you headaches.

so i take it that most people would say the SW20.
my only question is what are maj differences are between the different versions like the sw20r bathast the N/A or the turbo versions and whats the deferents between the years
I was leaning to the SW20

i second that
if you already got the cash, buy the jdm ae86! drives like a dream! and i think it's cheaper in the long run too.
it's a shame that australia got the poorer cousins of the ae86's that had the reputation

^ i second that. definatly worth the hassles and slightly high price tag if you can find a decent one. probably the most fun car you will own.
