Mailing big items (bodykit) from Japan Mon, 31 January 2005 13:36 Go to next message
Just like some feedback and pointers.
How go about international shipping/postage of a large item such a sa front bumper form Japan?
People are telling me that there is no service that will send it, not even for a semi-rediculous price.
Apparently only way to get it here is by chucking it in a container.
It is big I know, but come one it is not the size of a whole car.

Dont suppose by chance anyone fills up containers and willing to take some money for throwing in a front bar.

Japan Post is the cheapest option but they have a maximum dimension Height max size is 1.5m Width x 2 length x 2 total must be less than or 2 metres. EMS is the priority air mail 30kg max.
But obviously your bodykit is way bigger so only way is by those moving company which charges a lot. Try calling up car import companies and ask about their shipping service if they can put your bodykit in one of their containers.

I myself is having a hard time about my stuff here in japan, wish I can just take it with me in the plane.

Good luck!
