RA-23 shockers Tue, 01 February 2005 00:46 Go to next message
Hey i just spoke to pedders about getting new shock absorbers for my 23 they say that they have sports shocks for the rear of my car and they also say that they have sport shocks for an RA 28. My question is are the front shokers the same in both the RA 23 and the RA 28.
Cheers Pete

To answer your question they are the same shocks in RA28 and RA23. But IMHO you can do better than pedders Razz

KYB if they make them, even then, they'll have something that fits. Or try find some tokico's! Smile

Pedders suspension is not cool... it's probably ok for a commodore or falcon I guess.

Pedders have a bad reputation.
I won't put Pedders on any of my cars.

While expensive, Koni adjustable shocks are still available for your car.

Koni make adjustable red shocks for the rear and front. Though if you decide to upgrade the front to xt130 corona struts you can then get a externally adjustable koni yellow for the front. Bear in mind that the front shocks alone are worth about 500 for the pair and i think 300 odd for the back pair of shocks.
But speaking from expirience, you never felt a ra23 fell more sure footed. Smile

Cheers Adam

I have Koni red's all round on my RA23 and agree 110% with fattony, the ride and handling is now brilliant.
I was told you can't get ext. adj. Koni yellows for XT/RT130 struts.
Do you know the part number of these beastie's ?
Thanks.

That said fellas, the pedda's option is not that bad, and it's a FUCK LOAD cheaper, I happen to have both pedders springs and shocks front and rear, and it doesn't sit as low as adam's but it also looks more legal than adam's Smile
