Hey All,
I am thinking of adding an electric temp sensor to the block, does any one have a clue where i can put the sensor in the block for a 5M-E?
Cheers.

Having never worked on a 5m-e I might not be able to help, but I'll try.
The 5m-ge had an extra spot on the thermostat housing.
Just unscrew the blanking plate, and screw it in there.
Failing that, my MX73 has a draincock in the bottom of the radiator.
Maybe you can put it there?

if you look on the front of the thermostat housing, there is a little plastic tree with 2 vacuum lines on it, which is screwed into the thermo housing.
go to your local brass fitting shop, and buy a T adapter and a nipple. the nipple should fit in the thermo housing, which you screw the vacuum tree into. the temp sender for thermo's etc should screw into it also.
can send you an email with a paint picture explaining it better if you like??

there is a drain cock on the block but its in a pig of a pozie.
if you get some radiator hose sized tube and a nut with the threed the same as the sensor ill make something up for you if you want.
