wihout modifying the fueling, engine management, probably the cooling system and possibly even internals like pistons, rods and crank... no

These engines have fairly high compression, so without lowering your compression:
pistons, copper / steel head gasket, etc etc...
You can do it...but have another engine planned first...

TRD do a supercharger for it that wont void warranty all bolts strait in and looks fantastic penrith toyota have got em

So long as you can sort out good tuning and intercooling, and you don't go crazy with it, there is no reason you couldn't.
As for all the naysayers saying it wont last long, there is a Honda S2000 that was turbocharged under the guidelines I mentioned above that is having no problems. And that's with factory 11.5:1 (?) compression!
