errr
cordial anyone?
man, $6k for bodywork, why dun u just strip the new shell to the bones, seam weld, spot, tac whatever and rivet everything you can with rust proof sealant?
i'm sure you can get away with it cheaer if you took time on it + panel beater facilities.
me awaits for this project, i sense a drift pig in the making

because its rusting from the INSIDE of the body... as in inside the a pillars and such...
JDM chassis always do it... sucks..
nah 6 k for the whole job including parts and labour and chassis.
ill be prepping welding the new shell and riveting all by myself in my garage (in my new place) to save much $$$ and so i can drive mine while the other is being done (over a good 5-6 months)
dont get me wrong, ive thought real long and hard about how im gunna do this. the only bit ill be getting help with is the paint application (done at a proper shop and baked too) and the swap of bits from the old shell to the new one. 6k is cheap for this project.
and yes, levin battle spec pig with cage, carbs and cams on my current redtop, and a whole lot of not much else. think hibino
the trueno will be giving up its engine and is currently tossing up between a 'group a spec' 16v or 'heavily cammed' blacktop 20v.
cordial ? no no no no never

theres also a Screech Autoworks rear strut brace ready for delivery whenever your are.
also i dont want to know about the word rust, i had to cut about 10 tonnes of it out of mine when i bought it, plated all of it. what i sould have done after that was to get an electronic anti-rust unit. dads 4b has one and there is not a spec of cancer in it even after all the beach drivin he's done.
if any one want to enquire about these products try a 4x4 or offroad retail place, kits start from around $300.
apparently stops current rust dead in its tracks.

kit is manged, skirts took a beating, they are sitting at home, waiting to be bogged and duct taped
front seems to be off the car a fair bit, i cbf driving with it now so i guess it will stay off until later.
Beau's car suffered the rear carnage at Oran on the weekend, kinda makes me think if my mounts should be weakened to allow the bar to come straight off.
Oh - screechie, that bar is AWESOME. absolutely amazing work, stiffens the rear and the mount just stays solid. never cease to amaze me man
