2 engines & trannys (Escudo) how did they sync them?

Just curious, with a front and rear mounted engine and transmission system in the Escudo. How the hell did they syncronise everything? A hardcore computer system?
Did each engine have basically a typical fwd and rwd transmission system respectively?
And to get the weight they had, with 2 engines, what were the engine capacities, produced a shitload of power?

a prius has 2 engines too... whats the difference?
oh yeh there's an audi TT with 2 1.8T audi engines in it. each engine is tuned to 300kw at the fly!
but not sure how they get this stuff to work together

I have a vid of a tiburon with two 2litre turbos in it...
its just all custom... probably use electronic servos for the throttles...
Gearbox probably has some sort of custom shifter linkage so that it shifts both gearboxes...

Being twin engined (in east west configuration) means its most likely twin gearbox (duh ) And the shifter linkages would not be too hard to work out then. The throttle also shouldn't be too difficult even if they were still cable operated. Id imagine that they'd also be running combined ancillaries like water cooling and fuel supply.
As for that HotWheels thing maybe each engine drives a back wheel

most twin engine projects DON'T synchronise. That is, if they use sepaprate gearboxes such as Warren's "Twinnie" bathtub mini based hillclimb special, and varous twin engine and box combos.
Otherwise if they use one 'box they are linked together at the crank by an idler gear, shaft or chain.

There's a dude in New Zealand making dirt hillclimb / rallycross buggies with hyabusa engine/gearbox in the back, and he's started doing it with TWO 'busa engines+'boxes ! ! No diff, each engine drives one wheel each, clutch, throttle and gear linkages are all linked together. I dread to think what happens if one gearbox misses a shift at-speed . . . . EEEEKK ! !
With twin-clutch semi automatic manual gearbox's being more commonplace now, and Electronic throttles being the norm, twin-engined production cars aren't such a ridiculous idea! Could you imagine a 200kw turbo-4 engine at each end, with the computer shuffling the torque split between the two? Throw in an oversteer/understeer adjustment dial, and you're REALLY cookin with gas!

There is a pommy company making westfield clubman type cars with twin bike engines, one is pointed at teh front wheels and the other at the back wheels. It will out accelerate the Maclarin F1 and pretty much anything you could slap a rego plate on.
They two engines/gearboxes were totally separate save for a gear linkeages and throttles. I will see if I can find some info on it.

Not exactly new, wasn't the guy Cooper killed in a twin engine Mini in the late 60's when a rear steering arm (locked in place) let go?
