It was an awesome night.
Didn't win against anyone (was there to give hope to others - Puzzleman )
Best of the night was 18.45, but every other run was in the 18.62s
Needed a few more runs to figure out the best shift points (no point in getting even close to redline in my car)

I have to agree with every1, it was a great night.
I broke the FWD over 1.8L F/I with a time of 14.612 @98.12mph.
I also tied the fastest reaction time for the night with 0.002, but it was 20 mins after the reaction comp had ended.

Had a blast last night, can't believe I got 6 runs, much better organised than the old track.
Best of 12.57 @ 111 mph . Then 12.62, 12.78, 12.82, 13.2 & 14.48 (had a couple of novice runs early in the night due to my monkey-like inability to select cogs for some reason )

Yeah I was surprised at how well goldie performed for me. I was really only expecting a flat 14, but I am stoked with 13.7. Not only that but I was doing close to 180km/h at the finish line.
I think the last time I gave it a good squirt in any gear other than 2nd was at the last toyota nationals. And as anyone who saw my first run will confirm, I am a little rusty with the launches.

lol, the job as a ranger, that was one of the few things i heard on the loudspeaker besides the mention of toymods and they also mentioned my brother a couple of times, only cause he ended up racing himself 2 times, one he was last car before bikes and 2nd time the rolla he was racing died at take off, PAZZO or something, the one that they rolled off.
can't wait to do a few more improvments and head out again.
cheers all twas fun!!

It was a great night. Thanks to Joel Bigperm for organising the toymodders to get out there.
My car was launching well - er duh (looks at photo above) but was not running the first 1/2 track well.
Congratulations to all who came, ran and had fun.
Best ET for me was 11.85 @ 114.5mph, with a 1.56 60'.
my favourite photo that I have seen is here http://www.evilimaging.com/wsid160205/pages/IMG_87 38.html

yep, 4 records were broken!
1. Steve Healey in his 18RG corona wagon broke my old record from oct 2003. His 16.484 beat my 16.819
2. Dave Radburn smashed the under 1800cc NA record with his ZZE123 sportivo. 14.928 beat my 15.807 from March last year.
3. David Bradfield broke his own record. down from a 15.267 to a 14.612. Good improvement mate!!
4.
Well done to all. Im now very upset, i have no records
were any of you FWD <1800cc F/I dudes a member? If so you might have posted up a record. Same for anyone <1800cc NA who was a member...... puzzleman i know you were, so unless a member was there who beat you in this category, the record is yours.

So who's keen to go to the drags in a week or two?!?
A big thanks to everyone who came along on Wednesday night, it was great to see so many toyotas out on the strip and it sounds as though everyone really enjoyed themselves. There are certainly some impressive times being posted.
I'm just sorry I wasn't there to see most of it....
My problems started when I slept in until 1 o'clock, leaving my very little time to complete my preparations. I gave my car & engine a good wash just before setting off to maccas, & due to my lack of time I didn't dry my engine bay thoroughly enough, so my car ended up conking out 2 minutes from my place.
After messing around for 20 min or so with wd40 I managed to get her going again, although still not perfectly, and made it another 5 min down the road, where I pulled out & cleaned all the spark plugs which brought it back to 100% health. Yay, all my problems fixed, I'll make it to the drags!
Finally I can get on my way again, although too late to meet at maccas. So I hammer it there, still going fine, and then just after the roundabout outside Eastern Creek my engine decides to blow out a welsh plug, followed by all my coolant!
So I ended up leaving around 8pm with my car on a towtruck. Very disappointing!
So keep an eye out, once I'm back on the road & pending any further problems, in the words of the Governator himself, "I'LL BE BACK!!!"
