I don't know if this will work for everyone.
I didn't accept any of those 30kb files or have problems with e-mail or anything but I couldn't log in to MSN so I went to Network Connections and then tried repair connection. It wasn't working so I disabled the connection and then re-enabled it and voila! It works
Let me know if it worked for you too. A lot of people have been unable to get into MSN.
