1JZ HG Help??

Hi guys
i bought a VRS kit from toyota and the bloody HG that was in it is a single layer,.. has anyone used these??? it seems to me that it will never seal,..what did you do??? should i use it or get an aftermarket one??? and also what should i torque it to??? thanks guys.

the part no 4 the vrs should be 04112-46030 from memory
and the head gasket shoud be about 3 or 4 layer mls

3 or 4 layers it should be but its not,.. and before they gave me the 1JZ kit they made a mistake and gave me a 2JZ kit and the HG was the same Single layer,
anyone know the torque spec???
