18r-g installation

hey i have a 1984 SA63 celica
i was wondering what is needed to install an 18R-G with twin Solex.
E.g
is there differnt mounts, sump, gear box or anything needed
it would be great to get any info thanks.

u cant
engine is older than vehicle
unless u get it modded/tested, which is way too exxy in this case

so is blue wire he has one and he has a 1980
the 18r-g is from 1976 first twin cam 2 litre twin cam put in to production
i know that it can be put in with a corona sump but i was looking for conformation on to which if there is anything else needed to put it in.
so if any one else could help me that would be great

i think a 18R-GEU (fuel injected 18RG) would be legal however.
you will need a R bellhousing for a W55 providing it has a W55 box.
then u willneed to sort out mounts and sump etc.

The 18R-G was around before 1976, and it wasn't the first 2 litre twincam engine, not by a LONG shot. It wasn't even Toyota's first 2 litre twincam, the 3M was around in the mid 60's!
As for legalities, the RA63 Celica/Carina was fitted with an 18R-GEU up until 1985 so if you get one of those you will be fine. It will have the correct sump too.
