Hi everybody,

My ae102 seca rv has lately been making creaking noises (at night when it's really cold and the car hasn't been driven for a few hrs) around the front left wheel somewhere, while slightly TURNING RIGHT only. It may be the cv joint as my bro has been giving it a thrashing lately? Any ideas what else it might be, from experience? After the car has been driven a km or two, the creaking stops.

Cheers!
-Paul

I had a similar problem, although mine gradually got worse.
It turned out to be the wheel bearing, and I let it go for so long that it stuffed the hub aswell.

Im not exactly sure what an AE101 rolla is, but if its a front wheel drive, sounds like your CV joint is on the way out.

I have a AE102 RV Seca too! Very Happy

And my car is currently making the same creaking sounds you describe.

My happens when i'm turning right and slow speed i.e navigating a parking station (this is how i discovered it)

I attribute the problem to thrashing the shite out of it which has worn brake pads on the left front wheel, because it started at the exact same time that my brake pads starting scraping.

So yeah, check ya brake pads.

I haven't modded my car because i always planned on selling it within a year or so, so i only put a filter pod on it, and am trying to keep it in good nick. (except for thrashing it....um....i mean driving enthusiastically Evil or Very Mad)

i'll post some pics of it tommorrow! Razz
