g'day guys

pruchased an '86 S/C MR2 recently and everything went well until today.

the driver's side door lock has carked itself.

when i try to close the door, the lock doesn't lock itself into the hinge, meaning when i close the door, i can just push it open. i've had a look at it and have taken the door panels off, and it's definately the lock. when a (working) door closes and closes onto the hinge, it locks on and can't be opened unless u pull the door handle.

problem with mine is that the lock doesn't...lock into place

any idea, getting pretty stressed, all shops are closed, and i need the car for work tomorrow morning.

regards, andrew
