Hey does anyone know much about 3M's. I have searched but it seems to be difficult to get infomation on them. I would just like to know how much would one cost, is there much power, Can you work them and get some serious humpty out of them.

Cheers Andrew.

you know wot is fucked about some of the people on this forum is that people dont understand that not all of us know everything about toyotas. I asked the question because i search on this forum and no info came up. searching on google doesnt answer all my questions. And also you could just say search this on google under (2000GT) instead of making out that im a dumb arse for not knowing.

Toymods does not equal google.
You never searched did you?
How many were made?
Given the number, do you believe that such motors might be plentiful some 40 years later?
Would you honestly believe that a bunch of 16 - 18 year old kids would have 3 or 4 each of these in their garage to tinker with?
Why would someone modify such a motor?
Was Year 8 the longest 3 years of your scholastic life?

i have to agree it was a bit of a dumb thing to post... why didn't u look up wat a 3M was from... y would u want a motor from the 1960's anyway when u culd get something from the 80's that would put out more power, built better and cost u a 100th of a the price, plus is easy to get parts for.. plus sopmethign that other people have worked on so they can give u any clues...

BTW Giant... he has a bilke inm his avartar that says enough Wink
Cheers!

Thanks for the last post TRD supra. The reason I suggested this motor is because I want something that not may people do. I dont want to be another 18rg or 4age modder I would like to to be a bit of an original sort of idea. SO any suggestions for motors that wont break the bank.

BTW: theres nothing wrong with bikes is there? Shocked

1960's 2000GT
a very bloody nice, but rare as all fuck in fact they are usually worth over A$150,000

3M - 2L, 6cyl, triple carb approx 150hp

U would never find a 3M motor and 2000gt are rare like there are only a few left in the world!! but they are good on Gran Turismo 2! and soon GT4!

Will everyone stop saying 5M-E.. You are making me feel sick Confused

Want something different? Go for a 1MZ or something! Even a 2ZZ or whatever. But lemme just say there is nothing wrong with picking an engine that 'everyone' has played with.

Hi,

Why not get a 153E engine? They're about $12-$20k and I doubt anyone has one in their street car, it'll eat a 3M and a 5M engine.
