ummm first of all how many people have boats or know of someone who does, organise an event where we all get in a boat for a day, do some fishing and some skiing and so forth.

nah GT4's would be the best for it, exspecially yours with the big wing, good mounting place for the rod holders

Killer idea GIN51E.
I live in an apartment block with a largish grassed BBQ area and a pool on the harbour at McMahons Point we could use. Its got a private jetty we could use too.
Let me know if you want me to book it and when.

my boat (dads boat) can take 5 but better with 4 can reach 52knots so its not bad for having some fun in

Martin,
Gary,
Karl,
and myself...
Other ppl just seem to be very helpful in donating boats and jettys... Maybe your dad's boat would be okay Martin...

i've also got one of those blow up boats which the life savers use it can take 3 people but its only got a 7.5hp can only hit 20knots
but halves its speed every person you put in 
i reckon we aim for 2 or 3 boats that should make a good day but we will wait till summer or something

at top speed as its a blow up and sits right on top of the water you can get it to drift a little
but 7.5hp isn't much fun it can take up to a 15hp motor and we tried that once and it flew,

most probably,
only problem is the boat is like 800-900kg my car has towed it before but i don't think i should as my towbar is rated at 750kg

Maybe we should hire a boat?
I went to a yacht charter place on the weekend and it was $250 or something for half a day on about a 35 footer which can take 10 people.
Just need someone who can sail and $25 bucks each!
Or if we had more people we could hire out a 50 footer for some more $$$.

well i've got my full boat license but no idea how to sail a boat.
get a nice big cruiser
or if you just want to catch big fish my brother has done this heaps of time and thats go on some chartered vesil in sydney harbour which goes out the heads and does deep sea fishing
but could get sea sick

Yeah I went on a chartered fishing trip outside the heads last year, we caught quite a few.
Was a great day.. cracked the first beer open at 8am...

I'm in, I too have a boat licence, and sailing experience ( skiffs mostly but cats and yachts as well).
Love boats love the water lets set a date !!!!

I'd give the chartered fishing trip a miss... It's not my sort of thing... I would however go on someone's boat with fellow toymodders and have a bit of a go... I just see no point in paying to fish...
Someone find out prices to hire out a big cruiser... That'd be mad...

the chartered boats are fantastic even if you arn't a fishing type of guy as they supply all the rods and gear ect and its a huge boat i think its 45feet but don't quote me on that.
and i'm sure everyone would love catching a nice big dewi the size of themself and huge snapper, sharks and all of the rest.
if we did hire a cruiser i thin you can gire a few at pitt water and perhaps even get one for a night that way you can have a big piss up through the night.
or theres a house boat but they are a bit boring
