Just curious what is the most revviest engine each of you have driven or experienced in someway (just watching etc).
[Minus extreme race tuning and Ferrari, Porsche etc]

The old 4k in my old corolla was good for revving to the limit on my aftermarket tacho to 8000rpm. That's the limit of the tacho though, the engine itself could keep going to infinity or blow.

the engine that loved to rev the most was the 180b motor in my 120y.
it would regularly see the redline and beyond.

Daihatsu charade turbo (993cc, 3 cyl and carby fed) at least 8000rpm. Unfortunately it has rocker arms and the adjusters vibrated loose causing it to not go so well...
(Thank God it was an easy fix.)

Hi,
Mega ACn16/15/2 electric motor for r/c planes.
Weighs 2.68oz and is about 30mm diameter and 40mm long. It pulls up to 38amps and runs to 44,000rpm. With a specialised controller you can get 55,000rpm out of it. You use them for ducted fan applications for jet r/c, 'cos it'd rip a prop to pieces.

In the hills my 4age spends 90% of the time between 5500 and 7600rpm.
The little ke20 that i bought off brad with a worked 4k is good for 8500rpm, but i revved it to 9k once OOPS

My Kart's good to 15,800rpm with the stock carby, apparently the old Yamaha Kt100S spins to 20,000rpm with a big carb and ceramic piston. As it is, the engine never drops below 8,000rpm on teh track!

The VY Commodore Wagon I hired a couple of weeks back revved pretty hard
Hire cars love the limiter
Highest RPM I have seen in a car was a friends 18RG doing 9000rpm, it sounded quite nice at those rpm.

dads s2k its only ever happy near the redline only car that ive driven that does 195 in 4th with 2 gears to go.
Mates dc2 type-r with lots of mods power-fc extractors pod filter etc etc.. redlined at 8000 or 8500 he changes gear at almost 11000 regularly. He doesnt care as hes waiting for an excuse to put a spoon engine in.

From what I've read Beams 3S-GE's rev out to 9000+ pretty happily.
My 3S-GE see's 6500-7000 occasionally, not a lot of point going any further.

Yep I second that, my blue printed KTS was good for 15,500 rpm. Geez I can't imagine a stock yamha bottom end lasting long at 20,000 rpm! Clubmans can be temperamental at the best of times!
I wouldn't want to be following one when the rod snaps and munches the rear half of the crank case!
The s2000 is an amazing vehicle to drive.
Also, a friends 13BT rx3 tipped 12,300rpm in a burnout comp a few years back. Not too long after it dropped an apex seal
