hey all, got a few q's

first of all, what is the wheel stud size for a 79 corona wagon?, its the 4 stud one, its a larger square, compared to say a gemini stud pattern, what sorta "term" would i say to a rim specialist?

also, what is a practical rev range for a 18R-C engine, stock.?..car seems to lag when around 4000rpm range, would 4-2-1 extractors, and a weber carby help to gaon a few revs, and overall performance?

i want to replace the "tennis racket" air filter with a smaller more better looking one, is there any kind i should get?, what size etc?

thanks
sorry for the long post, just some i wanted answering, thanks

114.3 x 4

5500-6000 shouldnt be a problem. I'm sure people on here take them further.
Yes, they will help, but is it worth the money? And it will also drink more fuel.

Ramflo should have one to bolt on, but once again, is it worth the money?

Find an 18R-G or 18R-GEU and use that.

Bolt straight in.
More of a performance orientated motor.

In most States of Austrlia, when you change an engine and fit one of the same capacity, cylinders and induction system, you only need to fill out a form advising of the change in engine number.

They *might* want to sight the engine number to verify this.

Contact your local vehicle licencing department, and they will give you the answer to your question.

The 4-2-1 headers will NOT help your situation at 4000RPM...
4-1 headers will help up there... But with 4-1, you will loose torque down low

my 4-2-1 extractors kick in at the designed 5500rpm. i think 4-1's are better used for 6-7000 and beyond.

edit: 4000rpm is pretty low really.. even old V8's do that... my highway rpm is usually between 4300 and 4600rpm (and yes it is a smaller motor Razz but of much earlier vintage)
