Razz Don't laugh but I'm buying a early 90's 2.8 DIESEL (read - slow) Hilux. I wanna do some real 4WDing. But holy shit they are SLOW.

Wow...that's a REALLY nice car...I'm just wondering...what makes an ST165 worth 15G's..? I mean...I'm not asking that sarcastically or anything...I'm just...sorta surprised...but yeah...DEFINATELY think your car's a nice one...just wondering...that's all...Smiley =

Ha ha ha...hmm...okay...let me rephrase that then...I'm thinking some good ST185s can be gotten for that sort of money right...? but I also believe the guys on this forum that say this car's worth that sorta money...so I just wanna know what makes it worth that much...? Like...say...compared to a $10 000 ST165...?

Actually...on second thought...do you mind me asking...? Like...just in case I'm just clogging up your thread or anything...? If I am and you're getting annoyed let me know...Smiley = Thanks.

ive never quite seen a 165 for $15k, this would be a first.

but really depends on the condition on the car, and im guessing its quite good if it was "Toyota Nationals 2004 & Toyota Car Club (QLD) trophy winner"

3 reasons i can think of :

1- its a mint example

2 - its rarity on oz in this condition

3 - its stock - and not thrashed ...

thats pretty much sums it up

Stu pretty much summed it up. I have never seen an ST165 anywhere close to the condition this one is in. This car very rarely gets driven and those kays are genuine. 104000kms total in 18 yrs. Not to mention they handle better than the 185s.
