ok then it will be the first method that you will need. If the clutch needs to be engaging/disengaging closer to the floor I think you'd need to screw the pushrod in.

Can I just say I had the pleasure of going for a ride in Bens SC AW11 on the weekend, it was, amazing, I reckon it pulls a lot more than a Gen 3 3S-GTE! Loved it....now do I turn away from the SW20's to the dark side...I must say SC's seem a little addictive.

im having dramas of my own. Ive had the driveshaft seals replaced but the gearbox still seems to be leaking oil (hope its not a cracked case again) i went around a corner today and the damn thing open wheeld the whole way. grrrr bloody shitty gearboxes its costin me a small fortune in oil too.
How did everyone else mount their gearbox when they did their s/c conversion?
I used the n/a left gearbox mount. Ive heard that people had problems with the driveshaft touching the a arm but i seem to be having no such problems and the engine and gearbox sit level. I wonder if this may be contributing to my problems.

Doods,
Some excellent AW11s !!
I have two, an NA that i have had for 15 years and an SC that i have had for 6 months.
Have been thinking about going GTE, would love to hook up and go for a spin with someone who has one of these beasts. What is the possibility of meeting some of you Sydney siders.
125 kw at the wheels if fun but 150 plus sounds like mooore fun !

Im about an hours west of Melbourne. Before i bought mine i put a post up on the mr2 forum asking if anyone had one for sale and the previous owner e-mailed me some details etc. Nice car, but no T-tops which is what stoped me from looking at the car in more detail. Also saw it at last years aniversary run in melbourne.

Andrew who told you your steering rack is gone? or what is happening with it?
I got some opinions when mine started to shake a bit all the places said yeah its fucked needs a rebuild, but after looking at a few AW11 sites it said a common problem is the inner rack bush. so I pulled mine out, had a look, in the end (left) of the rack there is a plastic bush that wears out, I pulled mine out got a new one from toyota for $7, put it in and presto, no more steering shakes. took me about 30mins to change over.

My turbo is a t28 so yes it will fit. You can also use the a/c as well but you need a fairly tight dump pipe. but hey, mine worked out fine and still made good power.
Hopefully i will see it by next friday so fingers crossed.
The old manifold is with my car so i cant get it back till i get my car back. So as long as you arent in a rush it should be good.

Doods,
Still waiting on an invitation for someone to take me for a spin in a GTE, anyone in Sydney got one on the road at the moment ??
Would love to compare it to my 94 GZE, motec equipped beast ??
I am keen to get some ideas for the future, GTE sounds very good but want to feel how they drive.
Furthermore anyone interested in an AW11 get together, let me know i would be happy to organise one.
