JZX81 Struts Q Tue, 08 March 2005 22:51 Go to next message
Hi all

Am posting for a friend who has a MX83 cressida with a 1JZGTE with JZX81 chaser struts. Am looking for replacement pads and have been told that they are the same pads as used in the Lexus IS200. Is this correct?. Can anyone shed any light on replacement pads for these struts?

Cheers

If you have used the jzx81 brakes then the pads will be the same mx83(standard garden type aussie delivery), all that Toyota did was widen the caliper , that was all I did for my pads after changing to jzx81 brakes.I just changed the brakes not the strut. Awesome stopping with jzx81 rears.

Cant remember size of front or rear brakes I did the conversion 3 years ago ,however the rears are ventilated as well and the size is as big as aus delivered mx83 fronts, fronts may be 280x34
rears 250x22 , big single caliper on both front and rear.my donor car was a 1992 mark 2 chaser.
