My first drag racing experience! Wed, 27 November 2002 00:09 Go to next message
The Orange Eyesore is famous!

My best run was 17.2 at 83mph, but that was with a crap launch (2.9s 60ft) plus I missed second gear. Should be able to do a high 16 if I launch it right, but that's still pretty slow... I need a turbo! Smile

Did you ever take it to the drags?? I swear I saw the exact same car earlier this year with the white numbers they draw on your windows at the drags, burble past me near the PA hospital (I work there) and I thought to myself "wonder if he is a TOYMODDER?"

It was probably me, I work at the PA Hospital as well. Smile The white numbers would have been from QR though, I never took it to the drags.

ISU = Information Services Unit. Yes, we look after all the computer systems in the hospital, as well as the phones and communications equipment and all the other behind-the-scenes geekery that runs the place.

DBA = database administrator. I look after the SQL Server cluster which is the data repository for a lot of the mid-range applications used on site (eg the pharmacy database).
