Paddy, I like the look of your car. Has it gat the original paint on it or have you had it painted. Looks similar to my car.

All the pics posted so far are great lookind cars, and it sounds like everyone is having fun meeting feral and having a beer with him. Hope his motor makes it all the way though. Laughing

ummn, it was FRICKEN dirty in those photos. REALLY dirty, hadnt washed it for 2 weeks. I just use normal carwash i buy from autoone, like meguiars on something. I really need to give it a good cut and polish, but yeah the paint is pretty mint.

Pretty much a solid six hours talking about cars and women with a few beers was a great way to spend Friday night.
John, hope we can catch up on the way back... watch out for those African-american and Thai chicks... Jep, Jep, JEEEEEPPPP... ha ha.

GO THE MIGHTY TWO TONE!!!!

I gather by that comment you have a two tone yourself? Laughing

indeed i do except it wont be for long it needs a respray due to some newb drifting.

Please my friend, you have a duty (as an aw11 lover)to respray that car in it's original white on silver two tone.It would be a cying shame to see it assume any other colour but it's birth tone and god himself knows it is the best colour combo ever. Very Happy

ok, update pics time.

after i left davdave in south sydney i drove to Albury, stayed the night there. then in the morning onto Melbourne. i went through the yarra glen (some nice roads there) down to the south east of melbourne.
there i met up with Marc (mcboom).
http://img139.exs.cx/img139/3042/mcboom2.th.gif

http://img139.exs.cx/img139/7000/mcboom1.th.gif

and from Marc's place i found Phil's (gearbox), he has it up on stands doing a HG repair. (hurry up and get it on the road) Wink

http://img139.exs.cx/img139/3330/gearbox2.th.gif

from Phil's i drove to a place out of Geelong called Clifton Springs. caught up with my lil sister's boyfriend.
in the morning i left from there to Ballarat where i met up with Joel the clown. Smile

on the way to Adelaide i came across a HUGE koala....
http://img139.exs.cx/img139/8477/feralkoala.th.gif
Laughing

in the morning i took off to Adelaide, kinda got a little lost in the city there (as usual for me), then off north of there. before night fall i got to Ceduna and decided to stay there.
got up ealry and headed off to the Nullabor.
http://img219.exs.cx/img219/9629/feralsunrise0wf.th.gif

i drove all day and ended up in Esperance 1300 (something k's according to that whereis.com site).

ahhh matt black dosent have a clear coat hence the term "matt" so it wont look dirty like a black with clear coat does when it gets a little dusty.

ok, heres some more pics.
before i left Esperance my nanna and i where checking feral's oil and water, everything looked good. but then i noticed 2 small coolant krystals on the heater hose off the thermastat to the turbo tee peice. on closer inspection there were 2 small splits on the hose. once i pulled it off there were splits on the inside too.. arrgh!!
good thing i noticed it, having that blow on the nullabor would really suck.
http://img46.exs.cx/img46/1734/feralhose0ne.th.gif
got a 16mm id hose with a 90 degree bend from a commodore that i modded to fit.

on the way to Bunbury i came across a massive RAM... http://img192.exs.cx/img192/9713/feralram0gm.th.gif

in Bunbury i caught up with my real father that i hadnt seen for 12 years, was good to catch up.

while in Bunbury i met Pat who is doing a 4agte conversion on his aw11.

after i left Bunbury i headed north on my way to Perth, in Mandurah i met William and his s/c aw11.

Feral Dude, I cant believe you freaking admitted to having a commodore part on a aw11 Surprised what sort of decent car driver are you?!?
i do notice that Mr Feral has an habit of turning dirty cars into sweet rides when photographed. I can promise you that when he took the pic of mine (ie the first pic of 2 2's), I'd just parked it up on the lawn so I could wash it :\

i know this is a little late Razz , but a few people have now said/mentioned to me that my roadtrip seemed to end abruptly in this thread. i obviously thought i had signed off on the trip with a closing post, but maybe not. Embarassed so i do apologise to those AW11 fans that where having a look at my progress.
after my post up there ^^^ about being in Brissie again, i drove the 380k trip north back to Bundy on the Monday night that i get back into Brissie and went back to work on Tuesday morning. that was the end to my awesome lil drive. Sad

all up i did 13,148 kilometers, the feral never missed a beat (had some issues a coolant hose and with oil/catch can blow by at one stage) though that problem seems to have gone.. Confused
the 4agte i built in my laundry out of my old 4age is a ledgend engine in my books. Smile

i had an absolute ball on my trip (i've always loved being on the road), and meeting all the AW11 owners i met. i want to and will do it again sometime with hopefully more AW11's in convoy.

thanks to those people i met for their friendship and hospitality.

Very Happy
