Truck nudged me at the lights today

Well today I was driving my newly acquired cressida to get a roadworthy and I was stopped at a set of traffic lights on an upward slope. Its a common intersection for trucks to sit waaay back and creep up at snail pace in 1st gear and wait for the lights to go green.
Well the truck behind me was doing that and I guess when the light went green he didnt care that I was there because just as i hit the accelerator he nudged me, no dmg besides a slightly pushed up bumper, nothing i cant repair in 5 minutes, oh and a slightly sore neck, no biggy.
But what I want to know is, do I report this to the police or should I just ring the company whos name was on the side of the truck? I wrote down date/time rego number, location etc.

If you intend calling the company, then yes report it to the police then you have an accident report to show them.
Other then that they will deny and involvement.

I dont want to claim damages or anything like that, just want them to be aware of how that driver drives.
