on the side of my gen3 ecu there is a little cover held on by a screw, I took it off and there is a turnable knob there, does anyone know what it does?

Its a power adjustment , for every 1/4 clockwise turn you gain 10kw .

open the lid of the ECU and see what it's connected to? personally i didn;t think these had any analogue adjustment in them anywhere. the gen 1 one i had didn't,

i know on the earlier nissan ECU's like the E15ET and the RB30 the dial was there to put the ECU into diagnostic mode - ie it would normally run at lets say 7oclock but when wound around to lets say 5 oclock the ECU would do diags

are there any LED's around it as well?

hope this helps.

personally i'd leave it alone, unless, you do want to try. might be worth asking sixworks as he may know - he knows quite a bit about the 1G.
