Using a Dremel to grind Aluminium

I've got some welded on my new manifold to grind down.
What bit for a dremel should I use?
http://au.dremel.com/html/products/accessories/gri nding.html
Bits are listed here.
I was thinking maybe 911 or 941 to get the bulk off, and then finishing with something finer, maybe 516, before polishing with sandpaper
Thoughts?

You saying that the dremel doesnt have the torque to do the job?
If need be I'll start with an angle grinder, and finish with the dremel.

not really a torque thing.. the burrs are just usually crap... they tend to fill up quickly with alloy and lose their edge quickly also.
the stones are useless with alloy as it coats the surface and again, renders them useless...
just my opinion tho.
fr shaping alloy, i'd use the 3M scotchbrite discs.. they eat thru it nicely.. and the soft ones polish ok as well.

Dremmel's can do everything, don't you remember that tele ad?
Oh yeah they said they cant hammer, but im sure they have been used for this purpose, particularly when they burn out.

if you use a burr try dipping it into some lard, get it from your local supermarket. Apparently it lubes it up and stops the aluminium sticking

find a dental equipment supply place, and ask to see their amalgum burrs... 400% better than the dremel ones, and cheaper too... will cut through alloy/steel/ti/ceramic you name it like hot knife + butter
dont forget to use LOTS of cutting lubricant when grinding alloy to prevent gauling of the tool

Supposedly you shouldn't use grinding stone type wheels with aluminium as the ally gets imbedded in the stone, heats up, expands and breaks the stone. Probably not too much of a problem with a dremel but on a bench grinder, a piece of stone coming off a the bench grinder at speed can do a lot of damage. I have never personally heard of it happening, but thought I should mention it.

so does someone have a dremel and an amalgum burr I can borrow to mount my back seats? (I'm assuming this burr will be ok for widening holes drilled into my seat mounts)? I'm starting off with angle grinder + cutting disc and drilling holes in the area that needs to be removed, but need something to smooth and widen the area.
