Wheel Widths for Sprinter

Hey guys,
I've finally decided what wheels i want for my sprinter
They're SSR Reverse mesh style wheels... i been looking at the
choices for wheel widths other guys use and i was just wondering
what's the best widths to use for sharpest handling???
Is it best to use same widths for both front and rear wheels
or is it best to have rear wheels wider than the front??
is 15x6 front and 15x7 rear a good choice??

Most will argu that 195x50x15 are best suited to the AE86 due to its light chassis, but i have the same wheels you desire 15x7 for the front with 205x50x15 tyres, handles well, a little understeer at times but thats the suspension not the tyres, in my case anyway.
I'd say 14x7 or 15x7 front and rear.
Cheers
Steve

On a serious note, my 205/50/15s required some significant massaging of the wheel arches to not scrub. Anyone else had similar problems.

I d say try and get 15 by 7 or 14 by 7. Both are very good.
Also try to remember what kind offset your going to get. Try and get close to 0 so the rim will sit flush against the guard. Id say any more than 7 inch wide depending on offset will need guard rolling or flared.

Argh...
I just found out that the wheels i wanted are discontinued,
better yet SSR went bankrupt in japan recently so there goes
my ideal wheels... i could always get second hand ones but i'd rather new for mah baby...
So... i think i've decided on charcoal superlites 15x7 all around with offset closest to 0,
you guys recommend these wheels??

i got 16x8's on the back of my car, they fit fine without rolling or anything
u can fit 7's without any rolling or flaring depending on the offset (also depends on how low ur car is, what tyre your using)

To what extent is the car's handling affected if the wheels(superlites) are too heavy??
are lightweight wheels really important?

Lightweight rims make a difference on a race car, but you won't notice it on the street. And even on the track the difference it makes is pretty small.
FWIW I'm selling a set of 14x7 Supra rims if you're interested; apparently they fit well on a Sprinter.
