na i agree.. most of u guys are just talking shit about tassie... y don't u guys come over and check it out.. every mainlander who has come here says htey love it and stops with all the shit shit after that.. i don't know abotu the safety issue tho my celica got broken into 6 times and stolen once!! but my supra hasn't been touched yet!!

The 2 headed jokes are just boring, apples i dunno y apples are so exciting, housing is cheaper here cause the ecomony here is smaller.. hope hta clears things up...

as for our tassie sections have all the threads locked is complete and utter shit..

as u can see now our tassie thread has been hijacked by dickheads wanting to talk about 2 heads and apples and pubic hair and put shit about motor bikes up... the intent for this thread was for tasmanias to talk about stuff that happens locally.. but we stayed to our own tassie section where no one besides tasmanians/NT would talk but it was hi jack with shit, at least we spoke about serious sensible stuff that happened in tassie or NT not just shit..
hope this has made my point

Mookie go and take a look at the threads that got locked. In a forum of five pages only 9 thread swere locked so it's hardly almost all of the threads.

I also beg to differ on what the threads were about. Read them and tell me if they were honestly started about an event and then got sidetracked. The titles of the threads are:
Hotting up a car
Pics of the Supra
"HOT" Toyota's
Supra Sad
'81 Toyota Celica for sale on Ebay in Tassie
4age in darwin
on the look out
Anyone in launny

If we actually went through and locked all of the threads that started as about events but got side tracked I could see why you'd kick up a stink because they'd practically all be locked.

ohk almost all the active threads we used we locked.
It wasn't meant literally .
Ohk i understand those were stupid and the thread TRD made about our night of street racing mayhem shouldn't have been on the site at all .
But look at the posts above this was the reason we did what we did.
we are getting bagged out for living in tassie ?
read thru the tassie posts there is none of that there.
And i wasn't the person kicking up a stink .
If you read my posts i was trying to clarify people's post so the other party's could understand their point of view.
I'd assume the "anyone is launny" thread could lead to an event if there were more people up there.
but i don't know it's just a guess.
it would be better off to see if there was enough people in the area to warrant an event before organising and event and end up cruising by yourself.

EDIT:
I took you advice josh and looked thru the unlocked threads and found out there was hardly any reguarding tasmania

I'm proud to be a Tasmanian, I live in a house with a balcony view of the river, overlooking a popular beach and a golf course in the summertime. Turning 180 degrees I look at a mountain which is capped with snow in the winter and looks over the historic capital of Hobart, the lifestyle here is relaxing and comfortable to say the least. My biggest complaint with Tassie is the shopping, we get everything later than the mainland and we have to pay a tax for the export of everything over the Bass Strait.

If you like nature and beautiful scenery, hiking, fishing, & surfing then come to Tassie. If you like shopping then stay where you are, its better than here.

Mookie I know you weren't the one who kicked up a stink but when you make claims that are plainly untrue I had to reply.

As to there being hardly any threads about Tassie, there's 14 non locked threads on the first page of the tassie forum that are created either by you or TRD Supra.

I wasnt meaning to start anything by mentioning the apples... one of my mates was born in tassie, and also my grandparenst have been over there and they say its just like, part of the umm.. i dont know how to say it, like import/export/income.. thing... for tassie... agh..

same as, kangaroo island has the cheese factories and wine factories and grapevines and stuff...

When i used to live in Western Australia, some of the towns i lived in, everyone knew each other, you could leave your houses unlocked, cars unlocked, even people leaving cars unlocked with keys in them, but really.. isnt that just asking for trouble? I mean, nothing may have happened to you yet, but leaving everything unlocked, if it DOES happen, you cant really get upset about it, as it only takes an extra 2 seconds to lock your car/house up...

Hi,

Me and the wife are thinking about doing a visit to Tassie. They're advertising some ship that takes you and your car, and I thought it'd be cool to go down there for a cruise around the island. The wife thinks it's better to take her Vectra - being fairly new and reliable, but I think it'd be more fun to take the RA25. I'm sure the old girl (the car - not the missus) will handle the conditions without failing me - she hasn't failed me in over 25years and she's running like a new one, so I've just got to convince the wife now. Didn't you Sydneyans know about the Spirit of Tasmania ferrys until recently? I thought that it was common knowledge that there was two ways to get to Tasmania... by plane and by boat.

I would recommend going by boat if you go for a holiday... if you go for work then the plane is quicker and your company will prolly foot the bill for a hire car. But, there's nothing like taking your own car with you on holidays. Smile Sometimes in the offpeak season it's only $10 extra to take your car with you. Dunno what the usual price is.

RA65 Sleeker why do you hate hilltop hoods? do you not like aussie stuff in general or do you not like them becuase they are popular?

I liked them before they were cool, infact i reckon i copped a fair amount of shit at school becuase I was into aussie stuff and the hoods.

Its fucked how people finally realise how good it is and then it all gets fucked up.

I feel the same way, I hate all the teeny bopper hype about them now, it sucks really, but I will still listen to thier music and support them by going to thier shows but I wont associate with the new crowd that follows them.

They have no real skill at all
they don't flow or rhyme and they wank on about pointless things
Every now and then i'll create a beat the best i can on short notice and invite anybody up to the mic.
i've heard some really cool things and recorded some really great shit.

I've got a more funkmaster flex / DJ hollywood style
I'd b pretty confident i'd win if we ever had a battle
