Hello all,
I've been having problems with, well the gear won't engaged for the second time now. What happened was after driving for about 15 mins then I came to a stop light when it was time to go it won't go into first gear or any gear for that matter. So I killed the engine then engaged it after that it work fine for about a couple of weeks. Then again one day after about driving for half an hour to pick up my son from school, started the engine and it happened again it won't engage! Lately I've been pushing the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, check the fluid reservoir it's still full, it was suggested that I check the slave cylinder ( for leaks ) but I don't know where that is, even if I find it it's not it wouldn't be leaking because the reservoir is still full. Any help will be appreciated.

Please help

Chris ( ST185 )

Thanks Nolan,
I suspected it was the problem, I just wanted a more expert opinion you see when I take off pretty hard there's this horrible smell. Again thanks
If there's anyone out there that can help whether the type of clutch plate I should get or other opinion please don't hesitate to answer my question.

Thanks in advance
Chris

sometimes the master cylinder seals are stuffed and the
annoying thing is they dont leak to show it. get someone
to push on the master and look at the clutch fork for
movement.

no shit!..

i had this problem recently also... 1/4 of the friction plate decided to wedge itself into the pressure plate Sad

get someone else to push the pedal and visually check the fork is being pushed.. also bleed it again with totally new fluid, just in case.

other than that, drop the box and check the clutch

g/luck

Thanks Styler and Old Corollas.
At the moment I'm taking it easy with the driving and hopefully I'll get some time to have it looked at. I will certainly do the things you suggested and maybe I can fix it myself.

Again Thanks
